Ratos: HENT signs two breakthrough contracts in Sweden worth in total approximately SEK 1.6bn

2016-07-04

HENT, a leading Norwegian construction company active in the construction of public and commercial real estate, has signed contracts for two large projects in Sweden. HENT landed the project to build Axis Communication's new head office in Lund, and to expand the accident and emergency services building at the hospital Danderyds Sjukhus on commission for Locum. The combined order value is expected to amount to approximately SEK 1.6bn and the projects are scheduled to run until 2018/2019.

Axis Communications has commissioned HENT to build a new head office in Lund. The agreement is a turnkey project for the development and involves approximately 42,000 square metres of newbuild.

Stockholm County Council's real estate manager Locum has signed an agreement with the Norwegian construction company HENT for structural additions to the new accident and emergency services building being built at Danderyds Sjukhus. The new accident and emergency services building is a partnership that covers 27,000 square metres and has a central role in the Stockholm County Council's future health and medical care plan.

"We are extremely proud to have been chosen to develop these two projects even though we have only been active in the Swedish market for six months. HENT has been very well-received since setting up operations in the country at the end of last year. We view these two contracts as important breakthroughs for our Swedish operations in both the public and private sectors," says Jan Jahren, CEO of HENT.

Ratos invested in HENT in 2013 with a holding of 73%. HENT has approximately 750 employees and reported sales of NOK 5,462m and EBITA NOK 180m in 2015.
